2008 Porsche Cayman S 987
This beautiful example of a Porsche Cayman S 987 came in to have the rear bumper bar repaired and painted. The team got to work completely stripping the rear bumper. We then repaired and primed the damaged area, prepped the whole bumper bar, matched the colour and painted the full bar. The final stage was fitting the bumper bar back onto the vehicle, de nib and buffing the full rear bar and then a wash, brush touch and wax of the full vehicle. This ensured the vehicle left the Finest Restorations headquarters just as it would have looked leaving the Porsche showroom in 2008.

Slotting neatly into the Porsche lineup between the 911 and Boxster S, the new Cayman S 987 coupe is intended as a pure driver’s car.
The Cayman S 987 is based on the Boxster S (sharing its bonnet, wings, doors and lamps) but with power increased to 291bhp, carefully chosen not to tread on the 911’s toes! Driver involvement is the priority which is reinforced by the Cayman’s superb Nurburgring laps times – faster even than the 997.
2009 saw a mid-term refresh (known as the Gen 2), with a power increase to 320bhp, and some tasty options such as a limited slip diff and a superb 7-speed PDK gearbox.
